Water and Human
The sea is water. It is a rare substance in universe. But it covers more than 70% of earth’s surface and 95% is still unexplored. 97% of all water is saline, only the rest is fresh water and less then 1% is drinkable. Tiny ocean plankton produced our primary oxygen and still provides more than half of it. Water in its different stages is omnipresent on earth. It is literally everywhere and it is the same water circulating since the beginning of our time.
We are coming out of water, as a species of planet earth and as a foetus of mothers womb. Human Embryos still have gil-like structures in early stages of their development. At birth, our body contains 78% water and our brain stays with 80% our whole life, while the rest is drying down with age, up to 60%.
We are very similar.
Our cell fluid has almost the same mineral composition as sea water. We are boyante in water because our body density matches nearly identically and supported by our fat and the air in our lungs, we float. Therfore we experience physical liberation from our normal weight in gravity.
The Mammalian Diving Reflex
As soon as we put our face under water the Mammalian Diving Reflex hits in, which prevents little babies, thrown into water, from drowning. It produces a sequence of immediate physiological responses in the cardiovascular system, like slowing down the heart rate and redirecting the blood from the periphery to the vital organs. An overactive nervous system can be reset by the activation of the parasympathetic system and the vagus nerve, which leads to slowing down the breathing rate and interrupting cycles of stress, panic and anxiety.
Same can happen with regulation disrupting traumapatterns.
The hormonal chemistry changes with a reduction of the stress hormone cortisol and rises levels of endorphines, oxytocins and dopamines.
Water is a good replacement for any drug addiction and a natural pleasing equivalent.
Brain shifting
The hyperfocusing, restless part of our brain gets soothed into a mind- wandering, creative and receptive state of flow and joy. We shift from fight or flight modus into a calm presence. The brain gets reprogrammed and new neural networks and pathways get shaped by the only contact with this special unknown element.
Water and all nature renews our attention. And water like no other element reconnects and brings us back to our sensory world.
We feel the density with our skin, we can freely move through it, like golden liquid, we are light, guarded and safe.
It is completely alive!!
If you ever experienced a Black Water Dive, you know that literally every micrometer of water is actually inhibited by smallest living creatures. Not only the marine giants we are searching to encounter in diving are mindblowing in their beauty and special expression of nature. Even the small fishes and aquatic beeings are astonishing in their originality. The underwater world and its system of precise interconnection can teach us soo much and simply leaves us in awe.
And the fishes talk!! To us! Just listen and be friendly and receptive.
Human disconnection
In ancient times, humans were living with nature. They were not only completely dependent, they were interdependent. They knew that all their actions could not be without effect. The idea of isolation or separation was simply unreal.
Today we are racing into a denaturalized manmade lifestyle which throws us back to our egos. Usually we look what we get out of something, what serves our needs and desires. We develop nature deficit disorders, aversions, fears and dissabilities to handle a natural environment and conceive it as dirty, dangerous and uncontrollable.
Water reminds us!!

Specially saltwater even discharges us from electric tension, which we accumulate with all our electronic devices in daily life from Wi-Fi, WLAN, the microwaves of Bluetooth, 5G….
A few centimeters under the surface, water even blocks away any radiation! What a relief!!
It literally grounds us!
Saltwater is even healthy for us with all its minerals and ions. Some people drink it!
There is almost no noise down there. No words spoken. Its peace. Relaxation.
How can we not love it?!
Its in our DNA!!
