The sea is water. A rare substance in the universe. Yet it covers more than 70% of Blue Planet`s surface, and 95% is still unexplored. About 97% of all water is saline; only a small fraction is freshwater, and less than 1% is drinkable. Water in its different forms is omnipresent on Earth.  It is literally everywhere. The same water circulating since the beginning of our time.

We are coming from water, as a species on planet earth, and as a fetus of mother`s womb. Human embryos still have gill-like structures in the early stages of development. At birth, our bodies contain 78% water, and our brains remain with nearly 80% throughout life, while the rest slowly dries with age, down to 60%.

We are very similar.

The fluid inside our cells has almost the same mineral composition as seawater. We are buoyant in water because our body density matches nearly identically. Supported by our fat and the air in our lungs, we float. Therefore, we experience physical liberation from our normal weight in gravity.

The Mammalian Diving Reflex

As soon as we put our face underwater, the Mammalian Diving Reflex kicks in. It prevents babies, thrown into water, from drowning. It triggers a sequence of immediate physiological responses in the cardiovascular system, such as slowing down the heart rate and redirecting blood from the extremities to the vital organs.

An overactive nervous system can be reset through the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system and the vagus nerve. This leads to slowing down the breathing rate and interrupts cycles of stress, panic, and anxiety. Lowering the nervous system`s arousal is of paramount importance today, given the raising awareness, that the foundation of true health, primarily lays in a state of inner relaxation.

The reset can also happen with regulation-disrupting trauma patterns. They get replaced.

The hormonal chemistry changes with a reduction of stress hormone cortisol, while levels of endorphins, oxytocin, and dopamine increase rapidly.                                     Water is a good replacement for any drug addiction and a natural, pleasing equivalent.

Brain shifting

The hyper-focused, restless part of our brain softens into a mind-wandering, creative, and receptive state of flow and joy. We can shift from fight-or-flight mode into a calm presence. The brain reorganizes itself, and new neural pathways can form through direct contact with this special, unknown element.

Water, and all nature, renews our attention. But water, like no other element, reconnects us and brings us back into our sensory world.
We feel its density on our skin. We move freely through it, like golden liquid. We are light, held, and safe.

It is completely alive!!

If you have ever experienced a Black Water Dive, you realize, that literally every micrometer of water is inhabited by the smallest living creatures. Not only the marine giants we hope to encounter in diving, are mindblowing in their beauty and special expression of nature. Even small fish and other aquatic beings are equally astonishing in their originality. The underwater world and its system of precise interconnections can teach us soo much and leaves us in deep awe.

And the fishes talk!! Also to us! Just listen, be friendly, and receptive.

Human disconnection

In ancient times, humans lived with nature. They were not only completely dependent on it- they were interdependent. They understood that every action had consequences. The idea of isolation or separation was simply unreal.

Today, we are racing toward a denaturalized human-made lifestyle that pulls us into ego-centered thinking
. We usually focus on what we can get or serves our immediate desires. We develop nature-deficit disorders, aversions, fears, and disabilities to handle natural environments- perceiving them as dirty, dangerous, or uncontrollable.

Water reminds us!!

Especially saltwater discharges us from accumulated electrical tension from daily exposure to our electronic devices – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Microwaves, 5G, and other modern frequencies.

A few centimeters below the surface, water naturally blocks most radiation! What a relief!!

It literally grounds us!

There is almost no noise down there. No words spoken. It`s peace. Relaxation.

Saltwater, so rich in minerals and ions, supports our body and skin. Some people drink it!

How can we not love it?!

It’s in our blood, its in our DNA!!

“Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water. Be water, my friend.”

Bruce Lee
